Money, money, money!

Money is something everyone wants! I am not an exception to that rule! I have recently purchased an iPod Touch which is a marvelous piece of technology, but it also cost me 400$! I have also went summer shopping for the first time of my life and purchased a few pairs of shoes and a lot of clothes. It's unbelievable how easily money can disappear, especially when it's not your money! I've been using my credit card which connects to my parent's account.
Due to this, I have been told to hold back and to stop spending. I am trying to do this, trust me, but there's something about buying stuff that just attracts me. I'm sure we all have a slight desire to appropriate ourselves with new things and the newest technology. I know I'm not the only one with this problem.
My father told me something that really made me realize and appreciate not spending. Something that makes so much sense, I couldn't believe I didn't see this before. He told me :

"The glory is not in spending, but in saving."

Thanks dad.
